When asked to write an article about wine, I immediately thought of the white wine I just bought from World Market.  Most people have a hard time deciding on which wine to choose to pair with a meal; frustration or confusion usually sets in.  Have no fear.  I will guide you to match a wine with your meal!  I will start off with the basics.

White wine goes best with seafood and poultry. Red wines pairs great with red meat.  If you know that, then you’re off to a good start.  The next step is exploring which wines you like best. I will educate you on the terms used to describe wine and what wine to buy and where.

Let’s begin our venture with white wine. White wines are usually light-bodied. Some good starters are pinot grigio, pinot blanc, chardonnay or sauvignon blanc.  These types of white wine are crisp in taste and not too heavy on the palate.  So, sauté some shrimp or cook up some crusted chicken piccata and the wine will bring out those delicious flavors! Bon appetit!
